Bob Griffin while in search of his ancestral roots in Southern Italy developed an interest in the wine, food and culture of Southern Italy. (Do not let the Irish surname mislead you as Bob’s maternal grandparents, Rocco and Felicia (Florence) Bonadies, were born in Corleto Perticara, Potenza, Basilicata.) Bob, who has recently retired as managing partner of Krokidas & Bluestein LLP, a small law firm, narrowed his interest by focusing on small family owned and operated wineries and food establishments that practice sustainable viticulture and agriculture. Being a former owner of a  small business, Bob relates to the challenges that confront small family owned and operated businesses.

Bob’s search for his ancestral roots has morphed into a passionate quest to provide insights on how Southern Italian entrepreneurial families have become successful businesses working in harmony with nature by following sustainable practices. In doing so, Bob hopes that he encourages readers to experience the wonders of the wine, food and cultural sites of Southern Italy.
