Promoting Small Family Owned Southern Italian Wineries During Social Distancing

I have been quiet on social media over the past month and half, except for a recent Instagram post in which I posted the above photo of Southern Italian wines that my wife, son and I have had during  social distancing. (There is also a bottle of Guinness which was consumed on St. Patrick’s Day.) The Instagram photo is more expansive as the above photo cuts off about 10 bottles of wine. During social distancing, promotional efforts on behalf of Southern Italian wines has been hampered. I have had to postpone three scheduled  tastings for the benefit of charities. In addition, two fundraisers for charities that I had committed to donate wine tastings have been canceled. Due to social distancing, we have not had friends over for tastings. In all, I have not shared over 175 bottles of Southern Italian wines which I would have had the tasting events not been canceled.

There is no timetable as to when social distancing protocols will be lifted, thus precluding wine tastings. Three of my last four blog articles have been on the wines to be presented  at wine tastings. Now I will pivot and focus blog articles on describing wines that we have and will have during social distancing.

The wines in the above photo are  eco-friendly;  they are natural/organic/sustainable wines that adhere to a practice of minimal intervention in the wine-making process and use no pesticides or chemicals in the vineyard. More to come in subsequent blog posts on the wines.
